Phone-ready web app

Install this site so it opens like an app.

This uses the phone's home screen shortcut and standalone display mode so the page launches without normal browser bars when the platform supports it.

Launch behavior

Looks like an app icon. Opens like an app window.

Once added to the home screen, tapping the icon starts this page in a browser-powered shell with the regular browser chrome hidden.

One-button install

In Chrome and other supported Android browsers, the Install button can trigger the native install prompt. After that, the shortcut lands on the phone home screen.

Manual add to home screen

Safari on iPhone does not allow websites to force-install themselves. The user must tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Once installed, it still launches in standalone mode.

This is the web-standard version of a phone app shortcut.

It is not a full native app package. It is a Progressive Web App, which is the correct approach when you want a website to feel like an app without showing the usual browser UI.
